一年一度的影壇盛事 — 第 45 屆溫哥華國際電影節(VIFF)正式拉開帷幕！作為北美最具影響力的電影節之一，今年 VIFF 將於 10 月 1 日至 11 日舉行，會精選放映來自全球 76 個國家及地區的 162 部長片以及 91 部短片，繼續為大溫哥華地區的影迷引進來自世界各地電影人的心血結晶。

新時代傳媒集團再次呈獻亞洲電影系列(Cinemas of Asia) ，而加拿大中文電台FM 96.1聯同新時代電視及城市電視全力推介華語電影，特別贊助兩部備受矚目的極致新作《第四幕》(Afterpiece) 與《寒夜燈柱》（Light Pillar），邀請您一同感受大銀幕帶來的震撼與細膩感情。

加拿大首映香港電影《第四幕》由爾冬陞監製，集結強大的港產片演員陣容，包括馮德倫、袁澧林、胡杏兒、周秀娜、楊天宇以及路斯明等，新舊實力派同台飆戲，展現出豐富的人物情感張力。電影講述往日風光的舞台劇導演陷入十餘年創作枯竭，決定自編自導自演新作，卻在海選素人女主角時步入現實與戲劇的危險邊緣。一場戲中戲，將每個人逼上舞台邊緣。本片屬於香港「薪火相傳計劃」的重點傳承作品，也獲選為第28屆上海國際電影節的開幕影片並舉行世界首映。

The 45th Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) takes place from October 1 to October 11, showcasing 162 feature films and 91 shorts from 76 countries and regions.

As part of the festival's "Cinemas of Asia" series presented by Fairchild Media Group, Fairchild Radio FM 96.1, Fairchild TV, and Talentvision are sponsoring two key Chinese-language films, Afterpiece and Light Pillar. Making its Canadian premiere, Afterpiece is a Hong Kong production produced by Derek Yee and starring Stephen Fung, Angela Yuen, Myolie Wu, and Chrissie Chau. The story follows a former star theater director struggling through a decade-long creative dry spell who pushes the boundaries between reality and drama while auditioning a non-professional lead for his new play.

To celebrate the festival, FM 96.1 is airing special coverage and movie reviews across its programming while giving listeners opportunities to win movie tickets.
