多年來以穩重聲線陪伴聽眾的國語新聞主播 Barbara 呂波，今天正式榮休，在加拿大中文電台的輝煌廣播生涯畫下完美句號。

After many years of accompanying listeners with her steady and reassuring voice, Mandarin News Anchor Barbara Lu officially retires today, bringing her remarkable broadcasting career at Fairchild Radio to a graceful and fitting close.

Barbara 呂波出生於遼寧瀋陽的演藝世家，父親為中國影帝、有「戲魔」之稱的 呂曉禾，母親亦從事文藝相關工作，從小在藝術氛圍中成長，為她日後走上傳媒之路奠下基礎。
她畢業於北京廣播學院（現為 中國傳媒大學），並先後服務於中央人民廣播電台及中國中央電視台。

Growing up in an artistic environment laid a solid foundation for Barbara's future path in media.
She graduated from the Beijing Broadcasting Institute (now the Communication University of China) and served at China National Radio and China Central Television respectively.

多年來，她以專業與熱誠，在華語廣播領域留下深刻印記。雖然如今榮休告別電台崗位，但她的聲音與精神，將繼續留在聽眾心中，亦會在新一代廣播人的身上延續。榮休之際，本台向這位以聲音見證時代的廣播人致以最誠摯的感謝與祝福。
