去年在奥斯卡頒獎典禮上，Sean Baker 成為第一人，憑同一部作品Anora，奪得四個獎項: 最佳電影，最佳導演，最佳原創劇本及最佳剪接。Baker 間中會來温哥華，因為他太太是温哥華出世，外父外母仍然在此居住。

最近，他來温哥華期間，出席台灣電影「左撇子女孩」放映活動，馬光浩特意舆他見面。Sean Baker 自獲奥斯卡獎之後的首部作品，是一部用手機拍攝的短片「Sandiwara」。這部以馬來西亞檳城市場做背景的短片，由楊紫瓊一人分演五個角式。五個不同的造型，有如她做影后的代表作Everything Everywhere All At Once。

楊紫瓊剛獲第76屆柏林影展榮譽金熊獎(終身成就獎)，亦是由Sean Baker頒發。留意「Mini Van」時段內的《準時入場》環節，收聽更多電影資訊。

Last year at the Oscars, Sean Baker made history by becoming the first person to win four awards for the same film, Anora: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Film Editing.

Baker occasionally visits Vancouver, as his wife was born there and her parents still live in the city.

During a recent trip to Vancouver, he attended a screening event for a Taiwanese film, where Tony Ma had the opportunity to meet him in person.
