Join DJ Michael Laycock(Electropical), guest DJ Hubbz (The Payback), and percussionist Raphael Geronimo (Rumba Calzada) on Saturday, November 18 for the final edition of Worldbeat Sessions at the Backstage Lounge.

You know what they say about “All good things…” Sadly, after almost four decades, the Backstage Lounge will shut down at the end of this year and eventually reopen as a restaurant without musical acts. So Saturday, November 18 will be the last call for Worldbeat Sessions at this legendary Vancouver venue.

Come help us mark the end of an era in this city and move to some fine global grooves. One last time, we’ll explore the space where Latin, African, funk, and electronic music meet — mixing sounds from the past, present, and future. Huge thanks to everyone who has supported this musical experiment over the past three years at this gem of a waterfront venue.
